Inhalt
In this practice-oriented course, you specifically improve your presentation skills in German. You learn to communicate subject-specific content clearly and convincingly – in your studies, in project presentations, in a professional context.
You work on your expression, body language, and use of media, and receive individual feedback. The course includes a planned excursion and/or a conversation with an (international) alumnus/alumna or an expert, who provides important insights into everyday working life and the role of presentations in a professional context. This practical connection prepares you for language-related challenges in your career.
Learning objectives: • You know how to come across convincingly, both verbally and non-verbally (e.g. through your voice and body language). • You can structure a presentation on a topic from your field in a way that suits your audience. You use technical terms confidently and clearly. • You can convey specialist content precisely and clearly. • You use suitable media (e.g. PowerPoint) effectively. • You respond confidently to questions and feedback in a presentation context. • You apply presentation techniques and rhetorical strategies purposefully. • You reflect on insights gained from exchanges with an external expert (e.g. an international alumnus) about professional communication situations and apply them to your own presentation.
