Inhalt
Good communication is a central component of successful research and contributes significantly to the quality, visibility, and impact of scientific work. This seminar provides fundamental and practical competencies in science communication and scientific collaboration and covers the following topics:
- Communicating your research to expert and non-expert audiences
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Open Science

Students will
- explain key concepts and principles of science communication and scientific collaboration.
- describe strategies for communicating scientific content effectively to both expert and non-expert audiences.
- explain the fundamentals of constructive feedback, the peer review process, and the principles of Open Science.
- identify methods and tools for transparent and reproducible research (e.g., preregistration, open code, open materials).
Fertigkeiten:
Students will
- present scientific content appropriately to both expert and non-expert audiences.
- write clear and accessible texts that communicate scientific content to different target audiences.
- provide constructive feedback on scientific work and presentations, as well as reflect on and implement feedback they receive.
- write professional and objective responses to reviewers' comments during the peer review process.
- apply fundamental Open Science practices to ensure transparent documentation and communication of scientific research.

- reflect on the importance of audience-appropriate science communication for research, society, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- develop and practice a constructive and respectful feedback culture in scientific working environments.
- communicate scientific content confidently in a range of academic and professional contexts (e.g., conferences, networking, and public engagement).
- evaluate scientific practices with regard to transparency, reproducibility, and openness, and incorporate these principles into their own research.
- engage in scientific collaboration responsibly and respectfully, in accordance with the principles of good scientific practice.
